Description
Please join me to launch my campaign for reelection to the Cambridge City Council. The event will take place from 3-5pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017. I am holding this event at Cambridge 1, a locally owned and operated restaurant on Church Street in Harvard Square.

I chose this venue to highlight the work I have been doing this term to support local businesses in Harvard Square and elsewhere, as they face rising rents and competition from chains and online merchants. Church Street especially has been hard hit since the Harvard Square Theater closed in 2012, and nearby restaurants like C1 have suffered from the decrease in foot traffic. The location also gives a nod to my commitment to historic preservation and adaptive re-use, since the restaurant is housed in what was the City’s first fire station.
And, of course, I will be asking for your #1 vote on November 7. So it seemed fitting to kick off my reelection campaign at Cambridge, 1!
