I am proud to have received the endorsement of the Sierra Club for my re-election to Cambridge City Council. I am committed to strengthening Cambridge’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in buildings and transportation, and to better protecting our tree canopy and flood plain. As chair of the Council’s Health and Environment Committee, I have scheduled two public hearings next month on environmental issues: on Sept. 6 at 3:30pm we will discuss our Net Zero Action Plan progress report, and on Sept. 26 at 3:00pm we will discuss how to strengthen protections for trees including those on private property. Both meetings will take place at Cambridge City Hall.
